This could be a step forward for the company towards the long-envisioned super app named X by Elon Musk to offer a wide range of services to the users. Last year, Elon Musk said that buying Twitter “is an accelerant to creating X, the everything all.” Similarly, Twitter’s new CEO Linda Yaccarino said that “X will be the platform that can deliver, well….everything.”
It remains to be seen whether the rebranding will help or hurt Twitter’s business. Musk has admitted that ad revenue is down 50% since he acquired the company, and it is unclear whether the rebranding will help to reverse this trend. Also, this rebrand will not be taken easily by netizens, knowing that Twitter has been around for so long
