Nokia XR21 Limited Edition debuts: IP69K, 120Hz refresh rate, a rugged beast!

HMD Global has commenced the production of 5G smartphones in Europe, specifically in Hungary. The first smartphone to roll off the assembly line is the Nokia XR21 Limited Edition.

HMD initially ordered a batch of just 50 units, with only 30 of them being made available for purchase. Each phone will be individually numbered within the series and will come in the exclusive Frosted Platinum color, accompanied by a unique limited edition box.

The Nokia XR21, which was initially unveiled in May, boasts a rugged design with MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability and the highest level of IP protection against water and dust, rated as IP69K.

This smartphone sports a 6.49-inch IPS LCD display with FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and Gorilla Glass Victus protection. It is powered by a Snapdragon 695 chipset and features a 64MP primary camera alongside an 8MP ultrawide module. The device is equipped with a 4,800 mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging and comes with Android 12 pre-installed.

The Limited Edition Nokia XR21 is priced at €699/£599 in select European countries, including Germany, France, Austria, Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Finland, and the UK. Additionally, HMD will introduce the standard Nokia XR21 in Black later, priced at €649/£549.
