iPhone 16 Pro CAD renders: new Capture key, 5X tetraprism telephoto cam, larger size

iPhone 16 Pro will likely have the same design language as its predecessor but with some changes here and there.

The iPhone 15 series isn’t even six months but we’re already seeing leaks about the next version. Recently, CAD renders alleged that the iPhone 16 Pro will continue the current design, albeit with modifications.

According to a new leak, the CAD renders included the physical keys, front and back camera holes, and top and bottom elements. The main camera system at the back will house three lenses, a microphone, a flash, and a LiDAR sensor.

One of the expected camera upgrades is the 5x tetraprism telephoto sensor, just like on its Pro Max sibling. If you recall, the iPhone 15 Pro only has the 3x telephoto sensor.

Another alleged upgrade is the 48MP ultrawide camera sensor, an exclusive for the Pro versions. The camera bump design will remain the same.

One intriguing thing in the renders is the Capture button. At the left side, you’ll see the volume rockers and the Action button. But on the right is the power key and another button just below it.

This supports previous rumors about the DSLR button.

If the camera upgrades and Capture key are true, iPhone 16 Pro will definitely be a worthy successor. Take everything mentioned here with a grain of salt though.

But what do you think? Do you really want a Capture key on your iPhone?
