Last February 7 was a busy day for OnePlus as it unveiled new products such as the OnePlus Ace 2 (for China) and the similar 11R (for India), both of which are powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor
Leakster Digital Chat Station claims that there is a OnePlus Ace 2 with Dimensity 9000 in the works. This could be a new, slightly cheaper alternative or perhaps a special edition – some have suggested the name OnePlus Ace 2 Racing Edition.
The phone will have a 6.74″ (1,240 x 2,772px) display, a 5,000mAh battery with 100W charging, up to 16GB of RAM, and other similar features aside from the processor. The 64MP OmniVision sensor in the main camera, which will replace the 50MP IMX890 utilized in the Ace 2 that was introduced yesterday, is a notable exception to that rule.
The Snapdragon-powered Ace 2 will go on sale in China on February 13 for a starting price of CNY 2,800 for a 12-/256GB device (currently the company is taking pre-orders). If it exists, the Dimensity-powered Ace 2 ought to be a little less expensive.
For instance, Oppo released a variant of the Find X5 Pro last year that featured the Dimensity 9000 in place of the standard Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor (non plus). The starting pricing of the Dimensity variant was CNY 5,800 as opposed to the Snapdragon version’s CNY 6,300 price.
Stay tuned for more information about the OnePlus Ace 2 variant in the future! 😌
