Unboxing the Copilot+ Acer Swift 14 AI
The Acer Swift 14 AI Copilot+ PC arrived in the usual packaging of modern notebooks. It’s also the first thing you’ll see upon opening the box.
One of the documents is very essential for travelers. Officially called the International Travelers Warranty, it’s a warranty that is supplemental to the local warranty covering the notebook, which applies only in countries outside the geographic area of coverage of the local warranty where ITW service centers are present. Other essentials are the power cable (with ground) and AC adapter. After emptying the package, don’t throw away the box because it contains a cardboard convertible into a notebook stand. It’s a thoughtful gift if you don’t have a dedicated laptop stand yet.
Similar to other 14-inch notebooks, the Acer Swift 14 AI doesn’t have the separate numpad but many keys particularly important for typing have big sizes. The right shift, enter, and backspace keys are easy to reach, great for typing experience.
For cooling, the fan is visible under the notebook’s grille, which acts as the air inlet. Heat comes out through the exhaust vent.
Despite being a 14-inch notebook, the compact size of Acer Swift 14 AI offers many upsides. It’s easier to bring and place anywhere, which many users demand. They won’t need a huge space on the table and can easily look for notebook tables or stands and other accessories with this size.
The Acer Swift 14 AI comes in two display types based on your choice: IPS LCD and OLED. Regardless, the screen is a 16:10 widescreen ratio, great for entertainment and gaming. And with those thin size bezels, being immersed for hours is expected!

An Activity Indicator located on the touchpad shows you important status details, including:
- Device is booting: The light turns on gently and slowly and turns off gently and slowly later (100% brightness).
- Copilot key: When pressed, the spinning light turns on (100% brightness).
- When NPU is processing.
You can toggle the Activity Indicator in AcerSense. That said, you can easily access AcerSense with its dedicated key, alongside the Copilot key, on the keyboard.
