The new SKY TV plans got simpler and cost as low as 99 a month.
The partnership between Converge and SKY seems pushing smoothly with new plans for both internet and paid TV. The paid TV plans come in three choices, while the internet plans have nine options divided into two main categories. But what will happen to SKY Cable subscribers?
First, here are the SKY TV plans:
The new plans are similar to Converge Vision, but here are the differences:
SD Channels | HD Channels | |
SKY TV Plan 99 | 51 | 3 |
Converge Vision 99 | 59 | 2 |
SKY TV Plan 299 | 69 | 11 |
Converge Vision 299 | 78 | 10 |
SKY TV Plan 499 | 74 | 16 |
Judging from the price and number of channels, the balance leans toward Converge Vision.
The internet plans have changed from SKY as well. The highest speed is at 800 Mbps, priced from PHP 3,000 to 3,500 per month, depending on the chosen category.
SKY TruFiber plans have guaranteed download speed of 30% of the subscribed speed, 80% of the time.
What about SKY Cable subscribers? The service will be phased out soon but right now, it’s still live. No announcement of migration schemes as of writing.
