AI to be included to Whatsapp, Instagram and Messenger this year

Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, announced that the tech conglomerate is looking to add AI into its current services this year

Mack Zuckerberg announced on social media that the company is creating a new product group at Meta focused on generative AI. Meta says that over the longer term, the company looks to focus on developing “AI personas” that can help people.

The statement also expresses that AI could be integrated into the company’s current product portfolio. As quoted in the statement, Zuckerberg said, “We’re exploring experiences with text, images, and with video and multi-modal experiences.”

Besides that, a Bloomberg report notes that the Artifical Intelligence team at Meta will be led by Ahmad Al-Dahle. He is a machine learning and artificial intelligence executive.

Yet, Meta affirms that the business is still in the early stages of AI development. It indicates that there is still a lot of groundwork to be done before reaching truly futuristic experiences. Mark Zuckerberg says that he is enthusiastic about all of the new things that Meta will develop along the way.
