iPhone 16 Pro is reportedly with similar scores as the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro.
According to scores unveiled on Geekbench, the iPhone 16 Pro is alleged with disappointing performance and is just on par with the iPhone 15. A device with an identifier “iPhone17,3” scored 3,114 points on single-core performance and 6,666 points on multi-core performance. It has a six-core processor clocked at 4.04 GHz and an 8 GB of RAM.
But did you know that the iPhone 15 powered by the A16 Bionic and iPhone 15 Pro powered by A17 Pro weren’t super behind the iPhone 16 Pro? Check out the comparison below.
Single-Core Performance | Multi-Core Performance | |
iPhone 16 Pro (iPhone17,3) | 3,114 | 6,666 |
iPhone 15 Pro | 2,900 | 7,440 |
iPhone 15 | 2,595 | 6,651 |
It was pitted against the “Google Pixel 9 Pro XL” as well, which scored 1,950 points on single-core and 4,655 points on multi-core. That’s probably the consolation.
The A18 Series features marginal improvements over its predecessors. The Pro version has six GPU cores that indicates better graphics for gaming performance, yet only available in the iPhone 16 Pro models.
But things may change once they’re launched. Factors like heat can influence overall performance and the iPhone 16 Pro models have an improved thermal manager, which the previous generation lacked.
