Apple’s experiments on flexible OLED screens may yield a foldable PC designed to serve as a “laptop.”
Sensing being behind the race of foldable screens, Apple appears to be experimenting on multiple devices with such a feature. The latest report hints at a large Apple foldable device that could function like a PC.
Ross Young from Display Supply Chain Consultant noted that Cupertino is working on a foldable iPad Pro, set for launch in 2027. This rumored iPad Pro has a screen of 18.8 inches and it may pave the way to a foldable Mac. It might also be just one model launched either as an iPad Pro or a Mac.

A previous report suggested a foldable device intended to serve as a laptop that stretches up to 19 inches. This mysterious Apple device is getting more consistent as months go by.
But why wait for such a long time? Parts. Cupertino could be waiting for the right hinges and other hardware components that would meet the standards of its 18.8-inch foldable device.
Recently, Apple patented a new hinge for its foldable devices. This one comes with a sophisticated design with interconnected links and fingers.
