Time and time again, Apple has beaten its competitors like Samsung in the tablet game with the ever-popular iPad lineup. Apple once again crushes the competition, capturing 38.6% of the global market share for tablets. Samsung comes in a distant second with an 18.8% market share.

Chinese brands put up a fight

Even after experiencing a slight decline, Apple continues to dominate. However, the Cupertino-based tech giant is taking notice of HUAWEI and Xiaomi’s newfound growth. As per reports, both Chinese companies experienced a 73.1% increase in shipments, capturing a 6.2% market share.

These brands grew in popularity after targeting the budget to mid-range segment, offering tablets that severely undercut known name brands.

What’s next for the iPad?

Apple’s iPad lineup saw a much-needed refresh, starting with the iPad Pro getting the M4 chip, the iPad Air receiving the M2, and updating the iPad mini with the A17 Pro. Insiders believe that another update is in the cards as stocks of iPads and Macs have continued to dwindle.

It remains to be seen if the update coincides with the iPhone SE 4’s launch, rumored to be held next week.
