Here’s the keynotes of the recently concluded Glowtime event.
The finest Apple products this month are showcased and each series is packed with major upgrades than their predecessor, from the A18 Pro of the iPhone 16 Series to the versatility of the Watch Series 10.
iPhone 16 Series
The iPhone 16 Series is now official and comes with the next-gen A18 Series chipset. Both the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are powered by the standard A18 CPU. It features 8 CPU cores, 5 GPU cores, and 16 NPU cores.
Meanwhile, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are powered by the A18 Pro, also with 8 CPU cores and 16 NPU cores. But it sports a total of 6 GPU cores for better graphics performance.
The camera system received an upgrade as well, with the introduction of the Fusion Camera. The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus feature a 48 MP main camera with 12 MP telephoto capability via fusion, plus a 12 MP ultra-wide sensor.
The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro Max, on the other hand, have the 48 MP main sensor with fusion, 12 MP telephoto lens, and 48 MP ultra-wide lens. Unlike the base lineup, the Pro models can record videos up to 4K at 120 FPS.
All iPhone 16 models are equipped with a Camera Control for convenient access to the camera app and its features. These models also have a 12 MP selfie camera, IP68 rating, and upgraded Ceramic Shield for display durability.
AirPods 4
The latest AirPods 4 is Apple’s best open-ear audio accessory with a battery life of up to 24 hours with the charging case. The H2 chip lets users experience a new acoustic architecture, low-distortion driver, and high dynamic range amplifier, plus Personalized Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking.
Siri Interactions enable users to respond with a yes or no by gently nodding or shaking their heads, respectively. The new force sensor on the stem allows them to pause media or mute/end calls with a quick press.
The AirPods 2 is introduced as well as the world’s first all-in-one hearing health experience. It comes with Hearing Protection, Awareness, and Assistance features.
Watch Series 10
The Watch Series 10 brings numerous innovations to all users. It’s the thinnest of its kind with capabilities designed for various lifestyles.
See details clearly with the enlarged OLED display, get a better user experience with watchOS 11, and wear it longer with improved battery life and charging speed. With an overhauled comfort, the watch is now key in identifying signs of Sleep Apnea.
Get informed details of your sleeping patterns and determine if you need to consult your doctor. The Watch Series 10 can obtain such details from a metric called Breathing Disturbances.
Love water activities? The Watch Series 10 now has the Depth app and it displays the water depth of up to six meters, water temperature, time, and duration under water. If you’re into snorkeling, the watch is integrated with the Oceanic+ app to help you find the best snorkeling spots near you.
Watch Ultra 2
For athletes and sports enthusiasts, the Watch Ultra 2 is the recommended digital companion. Also powered by watchOS 11, this device now comes with an incredibly bright display, GPS, and up to 36 hours of battery life. If Low Power Mode is enabled, it can last up to 72 hours.
It’s loaded with breakthroughs like the Tides and Vitals apps, sleep apnea notifications, customization options, and an Action button. The suite of features is perfect for runners, cyclists, swimmers, divers, and golfers.
