Apple launches 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pro with new and improved features

A new Mac Mini has just been unveiled by Apple, and it will now include the M2 chip, including the Pro version of the chip

The Mac Mini was previously only available with the entry-level M1 chip, which is the same one used in the MacBook Air; this is the first time Apple has introduced Pro-tier chips to the Mac Mini. new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with its newest M2 Pro and M2 Max chips have been released.

The new M2 Pro and M2 Max models, which will replace older models starting in late 2021, were announced by Apple in a 19-minute YouTube video rather than at a press event. Compared to the prior generation, these new models are intended to offer better performance and efficiency.

These new models are equipped with Apple’s updated silicon chips, which provide better efficiency and performance than the previous generation. The M1 Pro and M1 Max chips, which had a 10-core CPU, 32-core GPU, and 16-core Neural Engine and supported 64GB of memory and an 8TB SSD, were used in the previous generation of MacBook Pro models. However, the M2 and M2 Pro chipsets are included with this new MacBook Pro.

Prior to being incorporated into the new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models, the M2 chip was first introduced for the more affordable MacBook Air and 13-inch MacBook Pro models. While the M2 Max model has a 38-core GPU and support for 96GB of unified memory, the M2 Pro model has a 12-core CPU, a 19-core GPU, and up to 32GB of unified memory.

The updated keyboard and touch bar on the new MacBook Pro models provide a more comfortable typing experience and quick access to frequently used programs and features. The larger battery found in the new models offers longer battery life and enables users to work and play for longer periods of time without the need for a plug.

The most recent MacBook Pro models are made for professionals who need powerful equipment for their jobs. They are ideal for difficult tasks like graphic design, music production, and video editing. Additionally, the new models come with cutting-edge security features like Touch ID and the Apple T2 security chip, which add an extra layer of security for users’ private and business data.

Prices for the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with the M2 Pro chip starting at $1,999 (roughly PHP109,000) and $2,499, respectively (around PHP136,000). Both models can be ordered online and will be sold in Apple stores on January 24. However, they are already available for order online.
