The global tablet shipment for the third quarter of 2024 rose by 11% in YoY growth, with 37.4 million units.
The worldwide tablet market has been revitalized with more consumers experiencing economic recovery after the pandemic and despite ongoing issues in certain regions. Of 100% market share, Apple leads with 36.3% but it only represented an annual growth of 0.3%.

Based on the figures, Apple has the largest piece of the market in Q3 2024 and Q3 2023. Yet Xiaomi has the biggest annual growth, thanks to more shipments. Nevertheless, the quarter has been great to all brands.
“Bundling offers and aggressive promotions across various markets have helped drive tablet shipments in a challenging spending environment,” said Canalys Research Manager Himani Mukka.
Other notable factors that played a crucial role in bolstering tablet sales include Black Friday and Cyber Monday in the West, Singles’ Day in China, and other holidays and sales events across the globe.
