The first foldable iPhone may launch in 2026. It may be joined by new OLED variants of the iPad Air, iPad Mini, and Macbook.
Two most anticipated iPhones are likely launching in the next few years. This is the clue included in the leaked 2027 Apple roadmap.
On X (formerly Twitter), a tipster posted the roadmap of the tech giant up until 2027. It also included key specs of the much-awaited iPhone SE 4, which is allegedly set for launch in 2025.
iPhone SE 4 key specs:
- 6.1 OLED Pol-less display
- 48MP triple rear camera
- 48MP selfie camera
- 12GB DRAM
Besides the fourth generation iPhone SE, the leaked roadmap also included the very first foldable iPhone. It was noted with a 6.8-inch foldable display, an under-display IR sensor, and LLW DRAM. This upcoming handset may launch in 2026.
The iPhone SE 4 has been in the rumor mill for quite some time. The device’s design has been speculated to be based on the iPhone 14. It’s also speculated to feature a Dynamic Island, Face ID, and USB-C.
The chances of a foldable iPhone rolling out by 2026 are quite high. It was recently reported that Apple and Samsung entered a deal and it allegedly involves flexible display screens. If this is indeed true, the first foldable iPhone will feature a Samsung AMOLED display.
Additional info from the leaked roadmap includes 8.4-inch and 10.9-inch OLED variants for the iPad Air and Mini, and 14-inch and 16-inch OLED variants for the Macbook. These are expected in 2026.
