Apple’s first foldable iPhone is shaping up to be a luxury device. A new estimate from Fubon Research places the price at about 2,399 USD (₱141,305*), which would make it one of the most expensive iPhones Apple has ever released.

The number is not random. Analysts believe the device will use premium components that are far more costly than what Apple uses in regular iPhones. The flexible display, the complex hinge, and the ultra thin materials all push the price higher. Several long time Apple analysts, including Ming Chi Kuo and Mark Gurman, have previously placed the first foldable iPhone in the two thousand to two thousand five hundred dollar range. Their predictions align with this new estimate.
Apple is also expected to use high density battery cells to keep the device slim while still offering solid battery life. The design is rumored to be very premium, possibly using metal materials and a hinge system that requires expensive manufacturing. Because of that, the device will likely aim for early adopters and collectors rather than the wider mainstream.
The price will place it above many foldable phones on the market today. Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold line is already expensive, but Apple’s foldable would sit even higher. That could limit demand, although Fubon Research still believes Apple has room to sell several million units once it launches.
If Apple really releases a two thousand four hundred dollar foldable iPhone, it would signal a clear strategy. Foldables in Apple’s world are not meant to be experimental toys. They would enter the market as premium, high margin devices for users who want the future early, even if the cost is steep.
The rest of the world would simply be watching the first version of something Apple may refine for years.
Would you buy a foldable iPhone at around 2400 USD?
