The latest AnTuTu benchmark rankings for April 2024 have been released, and the Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro emerges victorious once again. This dominant performance marks the second consecutive month that the ROG Phone 8 Pro reigns supreme.
A Tightly Contested Race for Android Supremacy
While the ROG Phone 8 Pro secures the top spot with a score of 2,120,210 points, it’s noteworthy that the competition has become remarkably fierce. A mere 100,000-point difference separates the first and last positions on the list. Notably, all ten ranked devices exceed the 2 million-point mark, highlighting the exceptional processing power offered by current flagship smartphones. From this perspective, the seemingly significant 100,000-point gap translates to a comparatively narrow margin of around 5%.
AnTuTu Top 10 Breakdown: Snapdragon Dominance with a Foldable Surprise
The April AnTuTu Top 10 list reveals a strong presence of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, occupying the top four positions. These devices include the iQOO 12, Red Magic 9 Pro+, and Vivo X Fold 3 Pro, each boasting impressive scores exceeding 2.08 million points. Notably, the recently launched vivo X Fold 3 Pro secures the fourth position, potentially claiming the title of the most powerful foldable smartphone in the market.
The vivo X100 Pro, powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset, follows closely behind in fifth place, trailing the ROG Phone 8 Pro by a mere 64,223 points. Interestingly, only three devices on the list leverage the Dimensity 9300 platform, suggesting a potential hesitance among some manufacturers to integrate MediaTek chipsets into their flagship offerings.
Looking Ahead: The Rise of the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 Plus
While the current landscape leans towards the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, developments on the horizon hint at a potential shift. On May 7th, Vivo is slated to unveil the Vivo X100s, a flagship-tier smartphone equipped with the next-generation MediaTek Dimensity 9300 Plus chipset. This processor is projected to surpass the 2.3 million-point mark on AnTuTu benchmarks, potentially shaking up the future performance rankings.
