Go back in time and play your fave retro games with an untethered gamepad and in two viewing modes.
Retro game lovers should get themselves ready with the announcement of an Atari classic. The Atari 7800+ is official to let you experience the pixel classics from 1986.
The new Atari 7800+ is a faithful recreation of the original console loved by many. It’s revived with upgrades like scale-down size to fit in modern living rooms and HDMI for convenient wired connectivity to modern displays.
It also comes with Wireless X78+ Gamepad, Bentley Bear’s Crystal Quest 7800 game cartridge, USB-C cable, and HDMI cable. What’s not included is the wall charging plug.
The greatest appeal of the Atari 7800+ is its backward compatibility with original game cartridges for the 7800 and 2600 Atari game consoles, thanks to the large cartridge socket. So, if you still have them, you can play them right away with the new console.
But are the graphics the same as modern consoles? Atari thought of that and since the 7800+ is retro-centric, the company included support for two viewing modes for users to choose from. Experience the old ways with 4:3 viewing mode or go for the trend of today with widescreen!
How much is the Atari 7800+ then? According to Atari’s official website, the device costs USD 129.99 or around PHP 7,400. You can also preorder the Wireless X78+ Gamepad for USD 34.99 or around PHP 1,976.50.
