realme is bringing the heat with the upcoming GT 7, officially launching on April 23 in China. And based on what’s been confirmed so far, this phone is shaping up to be a battery champ—with a sleek twist.
Big Battery, Sleek Build
The headline spec? A massive 7,200mAh battery tucked into an 8.25mm slim chassis, weighing just 203g. For context, that’s even lighter and thinner than the GT 6, which had a smaller 5,800mAh battery. realme’s clearly doubling down on battery life, but without turning the phone into a brick.
What’s more, the GT 7 introduces bypass charging tech (gen 2)—letting the device draw power directly from the charger during high-load tasks like gaming. It’s a smart move to keep heat in check and help the battery last longer over time.
Serious Power Under the Hood
Performance-wise, the GT 7 runs on the new MediaTek Dimensity 9400+, paired with up to 16GB RAM and Android 15 right out of the box. Early Geekbench scores are looking solid too—clocking in at 2,300 (single-core) and 7,651 (multi-core).
To keep thermals in check, realme has loaded it with a 7,700mm² vapor chamber and ice-sensitive graphene fiberglass cooling tech—because a 7,200mAh battery and flagship processor need all the help they can get.
Display, Protection, and Charging Flexibility
Up front, the phone is expected to feature a 144Hz BOE AMOLED display—smooth, sharp, and likely a treat for gamers. It’s also tipped to come with IP69 water and dust resistance, making it one of the more rugged phones in the category.
Charging-wise, the GT 7 supports 100W wired fast charging, along with multiple protocols like SVOOC, PPS, UFCS, and PD—so no matter what charger you’ve got, it’ll likely be compatible.
With this mix of high-performance internals, a massive battery, fast charging, and sleek design, the realme GT 7 might just be one of the most well-rounded releases of the year in the upper midrange segment. If realme nails the pricing, this one could seriously shake things up.
