After two generations, Nothing Phone (3a) may finally introduce the first camera key to the Nothing Phone Series.
The third generation of Nothing Phones is expected to feature fresh takes this year. Among potential new elements, one has been teased via x-ray imaging.
This x-ray image shows two sets of hardware buttons and at a glance, it looks like the power key and volume rockers. What gave it more context was the post on X by Nothing: โYour second memory, one click away.โ
Surely, the power key is a usable button for launching the camera app. But what if Nothing wants to add a dedicated button for that purpose? If so, Nothing Phone (3a) users can easily launch the app and take a snap in a flash.
That said, the Nothing Phone (3a) is speculated to be equipped with a triple-rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP main sensor, a 8MP ultra-wide lens, and the first, a 50MP 2x telephoto sensor.
A dedicated camera key isnโt unique in the mobile industry. Sony implemented this on many of its Xperia smartphones, even today. Even the shutter button on Apple’s iPhone 16 is โowedโ to Sony. Sadly, the iPhone sold better than the Xperia.
