With the launch date fast approaching (July 8th), Nothing is in the final stretch of preparations for the CMF Phone 1. This includes securing regulatory approvals, as evidenced by a recent NBTC certification listing the phone as “CMF by Nothing, model Phone 1 (A015)”. This model number also matches an entry in the Geekbench database, revealing an Android 14 phone with 8GB of RAM and a “Tetris” codename for the motherboard.
Nothing has already confirmed the CMF Phone 1 will pack a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM (expandable with virtual RAM).
While MediaTek’s naming conventions can be confusing, it’s important to note that the Dimensity 7200 Pro found in the Nothing Phone (2a) is actually more powerful in benchmarks. Interestingly, the Geekbench listing shows surprisingly high scores for the 7300, particularly in single-core performance.
Beyond the processor, details remain scarce for the CMF Phone 1 and its launch companions, the CMF Buds Pro 2 and CMF Watch Pro 2. However, we do know the phone will sport a 50MP Sony sensor with an f/1.8 lens and boast “Ultra XDR” image processing.
