ColorOS 15 leak hints at smoother animations, live photo-like feature, and cross-device sharing

According to a recent leak by reputable tipster Digital Chat Station, the upcoming ColorOS 15 update promises several exciting features for OPPO and OnePlus users.

The update is expected to introduce smoother system animations, likely leading to a more visually appealing and responsive user experience.

Live Photos?

ColorOS 15 might bring a feature similar to Apple’s Live Photos. This functionality allows users to capture 1.5 seconds before and after taking a picture, perfect for capturing quick moments like a bird in flight.

Seamless File Sharing Across Ecosystems (with a Caveat):

A potential highlight is the inclusion of a feature akin to Apple’s AirDrop. This functionality would enable wireless file transfer between ColorOS 15 devices and Apple devices. However, it’s important to note that OPPO users might need to install an additional app on their Apple devices for this feature to work. Details about this app are yet to be revealed.

Early Access for Select Devices:

Ma Xin, Director of User Experience and Solutions for OPPO ColorOS, previously hinted that multiple models might receive the AirDrop-like feature during the next ColorOS 15 internal public testing phase. These models include:

  • OPPO Find X7 Series
  • OPPO Find N3 Series
  • OPPO Find X6 Series
  • OPPO Reno11 Series
  • OPPO Reno 10 Series
  • OnePlus 12
  • OnePlus 11
  • OnePlus Ace 3 (all variants)
  • OnePlus Ace 2 (all variants)
