Countries questioning the data practices of DeepSeek include Australia, France, Ireland, and South Korea. Recently, DICT and DOST warned the Filipino public to be wary of AI chatbots, particularly what information they share with these systems.
The capabilities of DeepSeek were felt first after it was linked to a one-day hit in the US tech, with Nvidia GPUs primarily affected. The AI even impacted other US firms, such as Amazon, Meta, and Microsoft.
DeepSeek has three main products: an AI Assistant app, chat service, and the DeepSeek platform. The AI Assistant is downloadable on the Play Store and offers similar functions like other Gemini and ChatGPT. The developers behind it claim that the official app is free.
