Did Huawei just fire shots at Apple?

Apparently, during the Q&A sesh with the media, He Gang, the COO of Huawei Device BG, straight up said that once their new phones hit the scene, Apple’s gonna feel the heat and see their market share plummet! Shots fired, am I right?

He Gang, the COO of Huawei Device BG

Huawei just threw a wild party to show off their latest tech goodies, including the P60 series, Mate X3, Enjoy 60, Huawei Watch Ultimate, and some other slick devices.

They also claimed that their phone signal and latency are off the charts, due to their impressive Lingxi communication tech. But that’s not all! The Huawei P60 series has a ten-stop aperture that lets in 191% more light than the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

And check this out – they’ve got a super-focus night vision telephoto lens that’s apparently 488% better than the iPhone’s! Huawei’s not holding back, feeling like they’re gonna be the top dogs and make Apple eat their dust. Maybe they won’t “ground” Apple per se, but they’re definitely looking to take a big bite out of their market share.

Is Apple still the MVP?

Apple‘s been killing it lately, taking over Samsung as the top dog with a whopping 23% market share. And get this – they’ve got 75% share of the flagship market for phones priced at $600 and above. Huawei’s not blind to all this, knowing that Apple’s not an easy one to push aside.

But hold on, because Huawei’s got a major ace up their sleeve – foldable screens, Apple’s got nothing like it. According to iResearch’s market data, Huawei’s still dominates the Chinese foldable phone scene with over half the market share. That’s right, a whopping 51.3%! Samsung’s a distant second with just 18.8%. Looks like Huawei’s not giving up their throne anytime soon.
