The iSheep mockery from Samsung’s latest ad appears excessive for Apple users.
The rivalry between Samsung and Apple isn’t new; these two have been going at it for years. But the latest poke from the South Korean tech giant to Cupertino is a bit disrespectful, in the context of Apple users.
On X, Samsung Mobile US posted “If you try to fit in, you won’t stand out.” with an ad featuring the Galaxy Fold and Galaxy Flip devices. The “iSheep” is hinted at the start where a person named Simon is quoted saying things like “think different, but not too different,” “stay in line,” and “upgrade.” Everyone’s holding a similar smartphone while lined up at a store.
Then, the Galaxy Fold and Galaxy Flip came into view and the latter even demonstrated live translation at a market stall. Samsung says “do your own thing,” highlighting that users don’t have to fit in.
While getting a foldable smartphone will make you stand out in general, it isn’t going to make you unique amongst Galaxy users with the same type of gadget. Plus, Samsung isn’t the only brand offering foldable mobile devices today because new players are now selling it on the market at more reasonable prices.
Despite not running Android, the HUAWEI Mate XT Ultimate just took the foldable experience to the next level with three screens and Caviar custom designs in Black Dragon and Gold Dragon models. These designs make the tri-fold smartphone far more luxurious than other premiums.
Do you agree with Samsung?
