It’s official! After weeks of teasing the people (and CEO’s), Elon Musk will now officially buy Twitter.
He just made a deal with the company by purchasing it for a total of USD44 billion. This means magiging privately-owned na ang Twitter.
Musk’s main reason for buying Twitter is it’s “potential.” Twitter is heavily moderated, and Musk sees this system as being contradictory to free speech.
In his tweet, he says he will open source “to increase trust”, remove spam bots, and “authenticate humans”, just to name a few.

There’s still many questions after the purchase. The USD44 billion will leave Elon’s pockets dry, so we’re stuck on wondering what he’ll do with Twitter or how he’ll make a profit out of his purchase.
There’s also the question of what the employees will be doing, or what CEO Parag Agrawal intends to do with the money afterwards.
