The rightful challenger of the Galaxy Z Fold may use its rival’s flexible display.
Apple is leading many segments in the mobile market but it is so behind in foldable smartphones. Despite years of neck and neck battle against Samsung, the iPhone maker is yet to produce its own foldable handset.
A change may take place very soon as rumor suggests that Apple and Samsung entered a deal, which involves foldable display panels. If true, this indicates Apple’s growing interest in the technology.
However, some may not like the idea that their foldable iPhones are created with Samsung AMOLEDs. We may also see it first on the iPad considering its class and size.
Whichever the case, when will we see it? Don’t expect anything this year because the chances are very slim. The rumor suggests that the two just entered a deal and at best, we may only see a prototype or visual samples about it in September.
When the first foldable iPhone is launched, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold will finally have its deserving competition. It’ll be just weird that the competitor is using the same screen albeit with a different OS.
We’ll keep you updated about its progress as we enter a new chapter in the story of these two firms. For now, check out the four newly launched iPad models below.
