What’s life if you’re not gonna have fun?

Two months ahead of schedule, here we are welcoming the next evolution of the XPAD Pro Series. But after 10 months, has anything really changed, or is it simply the same tablet in a new shell?

With the XPAD 30 Pro, Infinix is making a stronger push for performance, positioning it as one of the most powerful tablets in its segment—and one designed to elevate the overall entertainment experience, whether you’re gaming, streaming, or simply enjoying your favorite content.

Let’s find out together as we give you our first impressions on the new Infinix XPAD 30 Pro…

What’s in the Box?

When it comes to presentation, Infinix didn’t bother to put a whole lot of effort into the XPAD 30 Pro’s packaging. Probably because it’ll only be a waste of resources, resources that could be better spent on the tablet itself.

Although for this year’s XPAD 30 Pro, you can already tell just by looking that Infinix shifted this tablet’s priorities from something neutral to a little more intense. I’m of course talking about the massive graphic of Kagura in her Starlight Skin (“Rainy Walk”) from the hit game, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB).

As usual, Infinix gets you all the things you need to get some work done so that you’ll have time for the real work ahead.

These include the following:

  • The Infinix XPAD 30 Pro itself
  • Folio case
  • 18W Charging brick
  • USB Type-A to Type-C charging cable
  • SIM ejector tool
  • Quick start guide and warranty information

Fresh Face for the XPAD 30 Pro

Instead of reusing last year’s design which I’m not gonna lie… looked pretty outdated, even for 2025 standards… Infinix chose to unify the XPAD 30 Pro and their whole smartphone lineup’s design just to get a sense of continuity if ever you’re planning to go all in on the Infinix ecosystem.

There are three colors to choose from: Twilight Purple, Anthracite Grey, and Titanium Silver. Regardless of which color you choose, the new design combined with the subtle but premium looking colors makes for a tablet that will blend in even with the more expensive crowd.

Other than the new design, what is noticeable for this year’s Infinix XPAD 30 Pro is how light it is, especially when compared to last year’s XPAD 20 Pro. On paper, the upgrade managed to shave down 69 g (nice…) from last year’s 545 g in a package that only measures 6.6 mm thin.

All the buttons are found on the right side (when held vertically) along with the SIM slot that supports 1 Nano-SIM and 1 MicroSD card simultaneously. While the USB Type-C which also serves as your audio port is found at the bottom together with one of the speaker grille and then to complete the stereo effect, the other one is found at the top.

One Inch Smaller, A Lot More Comfortable

Weight isn’t the only thing that the Infinix XPAD 30 Pro shaved this year; there’s also the display size. Before you get all your panties up in a bunch, there’s a logical reason for this.

Front view of the Infinix XPAD 30 Pro screen inside a protective case, displaying the white Infinix bootup logo on a black display background.

One is that while having a bigger display makes for a great productivity companion, it can be a little unwieldy, especially for someone like me with smaller hands, that’s also how the Infinix XPAD 30 Pro managed to shave quite a chunk of its former weight.

Two, if you’re planning to do some casual, maybe even competitive gaming on the side, having a bigger screen can put you at a bigger disadvantage because the buttons can be scattered all over the screen. Plus, the added weight can strain your arms, especially in longer gaming sessions.

And it’s not like they’ve shrunk the display by half, the XPAD 30 Pro only lost an inch in Infinix’s goal to strike the perfect balance between productivity and gaming. To their credit, that 1-inch difference really does make a huge impact when gaming, the grip is improved even with small hands like mine.

Putting the “Pro” to the Test

What good will the reduced size and weight do if you can’t game on the dang thing? Luckily, you don’t have to worry about that because the Infinix XPAD 30 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Helio G200 Ultimate and coupled with 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM (or up to 12GB Extended RAM) and 128GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage.

You’ll have to wait for our full review to see how the Infinix XPAD 30 Pro performs across our usual suite of benchmarks, but with the tablet’s gaming capabilities tested by the MPL and Team Aurora, there’s already a strong indication of what it can deliver. To put that to the test ourselves, we played a few rounds of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.

On our initial run, the XPAD 30 Pro ran the game smoothly even with the settings cranked all the way up to maximum. I just wish Infinix had bumped the refresh rate to 120Hz to better take advantage of that full 11-inch 2.5K Eye-Care display.

But gaming is only part of the entertainment experience. The XPAD 30 Pro also brings an AI-powered, all-scenario experience upgrade designed to make everyday entertainment more convenient and engaging.

With features like One-tap Entertainment Info Query, you can quickly look up information about the movie, show, or content you’re watching without having to leave what you’re doing. AI Impromptu Content Creation can also help turn those spontaneous ideas into content, while AI-subtitled Video Streaming makes it easier to follow videos when subtitles are needed.

It runs XOS 16.3 based on Android 16 out of the box and the whole thing is backed by a massive 8,200 mAh battery, again, in a package that measures just 6.6 mm thin and weighs only 476 g.

XOS 16 offers a lot of features, not just for productivity but for gaming as well. Watch out for our full review to see what other features the Infinix XPAD 30 Pro has in store and how useful it would be in the real world.

Initial Thoughts

After spending a few hours with the Infinix XPAD 30 Pro, it’s clear that it’s more than just a new face. It’s a thoughtful refinement that puts powerful performance and an elevated entertainment experience front and center. Of course, this is only the beginning, and we’ll still have to do our due diligence to uncover everything that makes the XPAD 30 Pro the great value that Infinix says it is.

But for now, the future is looking bright for this refresh. Ready to level up your entertainment experience? The Infinix XPAD 30 Pro launches on September 8 via Infinix’s official e-commerce shops, with exciting freebies waiting for you. It will be available in Twilight Purple, Titanium Silver, and Anthracite Grey.
