Can you believe it? Another V series smartphone from vivo—seems like yesterday we welcomed the V50 into the PH market. Believe it or not, my camera review of the V50 was actually one of my first feature articles when I started in Unbox Diaries, so you know this series holds a special place in my heart.

But enough reminiscing—let’s take our first look at the future of vivo’s V series, the vivo V60.
What’s in the Box?

If you’re just coming off the V50, you’ll feel right at home with the vivo V60. Enclosed in vivo’s signature black box with the blue gradient circle in the middle—alluding to their trademark Aura Lighting LED Flash—the V60 comes with the usual accessories you’d also find with the V50.

Those things include:
- The vivo V60 itself
- A color-matched flexible phone case
- The 90W FlashCharge charging brick
- A USB Type-C charging cable
- A SIM ejector pin
- Documentation including the warranty information and quick start guide

Feels Like Déjà Vu

Moving on to the vivo V60 itself—holding it feels very familiar, especially if you’ve used the V50. It’s like meeting an old friend: more refined, but with a bit more heft.

To be clear, the V60 isn’t heavy—it’s just slightly heavier than the V50, weighing 192g for the gray model and 200g for the other colors. It’s also about a millimeter thicker at 7.53mm or 7.65mm, though the difference is barely noticeable.
Despite the thin and light profile, the vivo V60 comes equipped with IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance. It’s beauty you don’t have to baby. It comes in three distinct colorways: Summer Blue, Mist Gray, and Berry Purple (the one we have here).

The biggest design difference from the V50 is the new raised pill-shaped camera island, which houses two of the main stars of the show that we’ll talk about later.
A Screen Worth Staring At

If you thought the design was beautiful, wait until you see the front. Equipped with a 6.77-inch quad-curved 1080p AMOLED display, the V60 is a stunner from any angle.

Add to that the ultra-narrow bezels and smooth 120Hz refresh rate, and you’ve got a display that not only looks good but feels great to use. It also features dual stereo speakers, HDR10+ support, and an incredible 5000-nit peak brightness, making it an excellent media companion.
Power Under the Hood

This isn’t a gaming phone by design, but that doesn’t mean it can’t hold its own. Inside the vivo V60 is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, delivering 27% faster CPU performance and 30% better GPU performance compared to the V50’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3.

The difference may not be night and day, but you’ll definitely feel the boost thanks to the higher memory bandwidth, faster GPU frequency, and higher CPU clock speed. Pair that with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage, and you’ve got a very capable mid-range powerhouse.
Say Cheese!

If you’ve ever used a vivo V series smartphone, you’ll know the brand’s reputation for producing amazing shots without the flagship price tag. The vivo V60 proudly continues that legacy with a powerful camera system co-engineered with ZEISS.
Unlike the V50, the V60 now features a triple-camera setup, headlined by a 50MP ZEISS Super Telephoto Sony IMX882 sensor offering up to 100x zoom. Alongside it is a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor with OIS and an 8MP ultrawide lens.
So, how does the new telephoto lens perform in the real world? Take a look for yourself, here’s a few that we took of Bangkok’s night scene.

This gives you an idea of just how powerful the V60’s telephoto lens is. With that kind of capability, the possibilities are endless.
For example, imagine you’re at a concert to see your favorite artist, but you’re seated far from the stage. What do you do? You whip out your vivo V60, tap on Stage mode, and capture bright, detailed close-ups you’ll cherish long after the show is over.

For selfies, the V60 keeps the 50MP ZEISS front camera with HDR support. Both front and rear cameras support 4K@30fps video, though only the rear cameras get gyro-EIS, OIS, and the Aura Ring-LED flash.
While the telephoto boosts long-distance performance, the V60 is positioned as a portrait master, thanks to ZEISS Multifocal Portrait, which provides several focal lengths: 23mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm, and 100mm.
We already had our taste of the first three focal lengths in our feature review of the V50’s camera but because of the V60’s new telephoto lens, you just know we had to test the new 85mm and 100mm focal lengths. Here’s a few shots that we took of our very own UD Jac.

Need a little touch-up? The V60 also comes with AI-powered features like:
- AI Four-Season Portrait (adds seasonal effects)
- AI Magic Move (shifts subjects within the frame)
- AI Image Expander (widens your photos for a broader scene)
Some of you may be a bit skeptical of the vivo V60’s AI features so here’s the AI Image Expander to show you a bit of an idea of how vivo’s AI does it.

Juice for Days
Another area vivo has perfected is battery technology, with its BlueVolt batteries known across the tech community for durability and performance.

The vivo V60 packs a 6500 mAh BlueVolt battery, letting you conquer the day with confidence. And if you do need a quick refill, the included 90W FlashCharge brick gets you from 0 to 25% in just 20 minutes.
Not only will the battery last all day, but it’s also built to endure long-term use with features like Super Battery Saver mode, Battery Life Extender, and Bypass Charging.
First Impressions That Last

Even with just a short time using the vivo V60, it left a strong impression. It blends high-end features like a versatile triple-camera system, powerful Snapdragon chipset, large battery with rapid charging, and durable IP68/IP69 rating into a sleek design that’s bound to turn heads.

It’s clear this isn’t just an incremental upgrade over the V50—it’s a device that feels like its own statement, and one that deserves a spot in your pocket.
The vivo V60 is now available for pre-order and comes with up to Php 2,500 discount as well as freebies. It is priced at Php 28,999 for the 12GB + 256GB variant and Php 30,999 for the 12GB + 512GB variant.
