After countless leaks, Xiaomi has finally unveiled the Redmi Note 15 Pro+, along with its official launch date.
The Redmi Note Legacy
For those who aren’t familiar, the Redmi Note series is Xiaomi’s affordable mid-range line, known for its stylish design and strong camera performance. It serves as a counterpart to the POCO X series, which leans more toward gaming and raw performance.
Design and Durability
Announced via Weibo, the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ carries a familiar design—almost identical to its predecessor, the Redmi Note 14 Pro+. But despite the familiar looks, the upgrades this time are found under the hood and in its build quality.

Durability is on top of REDMI’s goal for the 15 Pro+. With the phone featuring a dual-side protection system, consisting of Xiaomi’s Crystal Glass on the front and a fiberglass back. According to the brand, the device is 10x more resistant to drops, surviving 50 consecutive 2-meter drops onto granite during testing.

Display and Cameras
Inside that Crystal Glass front lies a 1.5K quad-curved OLED display, giving it a premium touch.

In terms of cameras, it will pack a triple-lens setup headlined by a 50 MP main sensor and a 50 MP telephoto lens, making it a solid all-rounder for photography enthusiasts in the mid-range market.
Performance and Battery
The exact chipset for the 15 Pro+ remains a mystery. Some leaks suggest it will debut the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, while others point to an overclocked Snapdragon 7s Gen 3.
Whatever the case, it’s confirmed to ship with up to 16GB of RAM and a massive 7,000 mAh battery with support for 90W fast charging—a spec sheet that’s bound to turn heads in this segment.
Software and Extras
The device will launch with HyperOS 2.0 on top of Android 15, with potential update support for HyperOS 3 in the future.
Interestingly, the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ is also expected to include satellite connectivity—a feature typically reserved for premium flagship phones.
Launch Date and Availability
The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ will officially launch on August 21 in China, according to Redmi’s official Weibo account.
