Five new features introduced on YouTube Premium!

Apart from enjoying watching videos without annoying ads, YouTube Premium has introduced five other intriguing features to enhance the experience even more.

Queueing system

First up, you can now use a queueing system on your phone or tablet. This feature has been available on the YouTube website, but now it’s accessible to all subscribers on mobile. This feature lets you create a queue of videos to be played, add new ones to it, and change the order of the ones that are already there. So if you’re planning a movie night with friends, you can easily add videos to the queue and make sure everyone gets to watch what they want.

Google Meet

Another awesome feature is the ability to host Google Meet sessions where all attendees, whether they’re Premium or free users, can watch YouTube videos together. This is perfect for virtual hangouts or remote movie nights. The feature is already live on Android devices through Meet Live Sharing and will be available “in the coming weeks” for FaceTime users on iOS via SharePlay.

Continue watching

The third new feature is one that we’ve all been waiting for: the ability to continue watching YouTube videos where you left off, even if you switch between devices. This feature is now live on Android, iOS, and the web, making it super convenient to pick up right where you left off, no matter where you are.

Smart Downloads

The fourth new feature is Smart Downloads, which automatically adds recommended videos straight to your library for offline viewing. This is a great feature to have, especially if you forgot to download videos before heading out on a long flight or road trip. Although it’s been available to Premium members for a while now, it’s still a handy feature to make use of.

Enhanced bitrate version for 1080p HD

Last but not least, YouTube on iOS will be delivering an enhanced bitrate version for 1080p HD resolution videos “in the coming weeks” for Premium members. This will make videos with lots of detail and motion looks extra crisp and clear. While 1080p HD resolution will remain available to everyone, this higher bitrate version will be exclusive to Premium subscribers.

So there you have it, folks! YouTube Premium just got even better with these five new features. If you’re not already a subscriber, now might be the time to consider signing up to take advantage of all these awesome perks.
