Flappy Bird flying and wreaking havoc on Android, iOS, and browsers very soon.
Do you remember the bird that led to a viral hit game? If yes, then you’ll be in nostalgia because it’s flapping once more starting next month.
Ten years after getting pulled, Flappy Bird is coming back to send players flying due to fun, competitiveness, or plain stress.
The hit game is returning with an expanded version, aimed for release at the end of October. Platforms to be supported include Android, iOS, and web browsers. Let’s hope it can run on all smartphone tiers, allowing the masses to engage in this addicting title.
If you’re not aware, the original Flappy Bird was developed and published by Vietnam-based developer Dong Nguyen in 2013. Fans were shocked when the game was pulled out of the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
The upcoming return is no longer from Nguyen but from the The Flappy Bird Foundation, which has a team of passionate fans who want to share the game with the world. The new group has acquired the official Flappy Bird trademark from Gametech Holdings LLC and the original game and character from Piou Piou vs. Cactus, where the Flappy Bird character was inspired.
The original Flappy Bird was downloaded more than 50 million times and was earning about USD 50,000 daily in revenue from its in-game ads.
Ready to flap again?
