No more Exynos nor MediaTek: Samsung’s Galaxy S25 lineup will be Snapdragon-powered, tipster says

Samsung’s Galaxy S25 lineup is poised to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite across all three models, according to yet another industry insider. Contrary to previous speculation, Ice Universe claims that Samsung will not utilize the Exynos 2500 or Dimensity 9400, which might be reserved for the Galaxy S25 FE.

The decision to go all-in with Snapdragon could be attributed to reported yield issues with the Exynos 2500. Sources from Korea suggest that the new 3nm manufacturing process has fallen short of expectations, resulting in a higher failure rate and unstable production.

Initially, it was anticipated that only the Galaxy S25 Ultra would receive a Snapdragon chipset, while the other two models would be equipped with either Qualcomm’s or Samsung’s own processor depending on the market. However, this is the third time we’ve heard this rumor, and considering the leakster’s track record with Samsung information, it’s highly likely to be accurate.
