Slimmer Galaxy S25 Slim’s ALoP lens tech won’t sacrifice imaging quality to save space.
If the next-generation iPhone is getting an “Air,” the Galaxy S25 is getting a “Slim.” Since the series’ launch is close, camera specs of the alleged Galaxy S25 Slim surfaced, revealing a new sensor and a special tech for its form factor.
According to the post by @saaaanjjjuuu on X, the Galaxy S25 Slim will have three Samsung ISOCELL camera sensors.
- Main: 200MP ISOCELL HP5 with 1/1.56” sensor size
- Ultrawide: 50MP ISOCELL JN5 with 1/2.76 sensor size
- Telephoto: 50MP ISOCELL JN5 with 1/2.76 sensor size
The telephoto lens can do 3.5x optical zoom but the heart-stealer is the HP5, a new lens being associated with Galaxy Z Fold7. Here’s the kicker: ALoP camera technology.
Being super slim, the new All Lenses on Prism (ALoP) design by Samsung cleverly places the lenses in front of the prism, instead of behind. This saves space without compromising imaging quality. ALoP even included upgrades for better low-light performance.
Take everything with a grain of salt, however, because the Galaxy S25 Slim is set to be launched later next year, replacing the FE model. Things may still change in the coming months.
