Para sa mga taong mahilig makinig ng mix tapes, or mga batang 70s, 80s, or 90’s, iba ang dating ng naka-Walkman. Sikat na sikat ang music player na to, kasabayan ng mga boom box, cassettes and all things retro. But there’s news of a gold-plated Sony Walkman.
The Sony Walkman was for people who initially recorded songs from the radios and then put them in a mix tape. Ngayon, baka iilan nalang ang kilala mong merong Sony Walkman, pero in its heyday, Sony sold over 200 million units. Ganun kasikat ang Sony Walkman.
There’s news that the company will be releasing a limited edition Sony Walkman. Dalawang klase ang available: plain aluminum framing, and gold-plated copper build. Syempre kapag gold plated ang walkman, mabubulag ka na rin sa price.
Here’s a short Youtube video from the company.
The name is a mouthful: NW-WM1ZM2 Signature Series, pero okay lang kasi napakaganda naman talaga ng music gadget na ‘to. Aside from the craftsmanship, the company claims this product gives high-quality lossless audio.
The base version of the device comes with a 128GB storage capacity, or just about 30,000 4MB songs. The other variant has a storage capacity of 256GB in addition to the higher price tag.
While maraming tao ang mahilig sa music, not everyone can shell out $1600 or even $3200. This product is aimed towards collectors and audiophiles, and if the company every releases a cheaper “premium steel” version, ma-aappreciate ito ng mga tao.
There’s no exact date for the release yet, but the company announced it will be available sometime in April. Check this link for more details.
