Google lets you transfer data to your new Android phone after setup

Google is making it even easier to switch to a new Android device with a series of improvements to the Android Switch experience. One of the most significant updates is the ability to transfer data from an old device after the initial setup process.

This means you can quickly set up your new device and then transfer your data at your convenience. The process can be initiated either through the Settings app or the Android Switch app.

For those upgrading from an older Android device, Google has introduced an express setup option that transfers only device-specific data, streamlining the process.

Key Improvements to the Android Switch Experience:

  • Post-Setup Data Transfer: Transfer data from an old device even after the initial setup.
  • Express Setup: Quickly transfer device-specific data for efficient upgrades.
  • Simplified User Interface: A more intuitive and user-friendly experience.
  • Faster iPhone-to-Android Data Transfer: 40% faster cable transfer speeds.

With these enhancements, Google aims to make the transition to a new Android device smoother and more efficient than ever before.
