A revival of the Chromebook Pixel may happen with the top-of-the-line Google Pixel laptop.
Somewhere in the R&D division of Google, a high-end laptop is in the works codenamed “Snowy.” This device has received the go signal and is already being compared to other premium models, including MacBook Pro, Microsoft Surface, and Dell XPS, suggesting a pretty powerful notebook.
According to a report, the device is already out of the concept phase and a team is dedicated to develop it. But it will definitely be launched as a premium notebook for the premium market. So, if you want it to match your Pixel smartphone, expect to shell out a lot.
A Pixel notebook isn’t new because the first-of-its-kind was launched in 2017. The Chromebook Pixel ran Chrome OS and at the time, it was priced at $1,300.
It featured up to Intel Core i7-5500U, 4GB DDR3 RAM, and up to 64GB SSD. It even sported a 12.85-inch display with a 2,560 by 1,700 resolution.
But the question is: will the new Pixel notebook succeed and stay longer in the market?
