Despite countless rumors surrounding the delay of the sixth installment of the beloved Grand Theft Auto series, a Spanish online store recently spilled the beans on the possible release date of the game.

XUruguay, an online video game store listed the game’s release date as September 17, 2025 causing fans to go into frenzy. The post was immediately taken down but fans have already speculated on the legitimacy of the listed date. Fans were quick to point out the significance of the date, being the 12th anniversary of the release of Grand Theft Auto V. The date also falls under Rockstar’s claim of the fall 2025 release date.
When asked, XUruguay claimed to have a contact with PlayStation that notifies them of the release dates of products. This wasn’t the first time that a video game retailer prematurely dropped the ball on information regarding unreleased products, similar to what we’ve seen with the Nintendo Switch 2’s price.
Regarding the price, reports have already circulated that the game could be the first to implement a $100 price for AAA games, citing Take-Two’s history of leading the pack when it comes to video game pricing. If reports are to be believed, PH gamers could be in for a rude awakening with prices reaching ₱5,800 when converted to PH peso.
