HONOR kicked off MWC 2026 with the announcement of its latest foldable, the HONOR Magic V6. It marks a major step not only for the brand but for foldables as a whole, becoming the first in its category to feature both IP68 and IP69 ingress protection. At the same time, it arrives as a full-fledged flagship, powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, backed by a triple-camera setup with a dedicated 3x optical periscope lens, and equipped with a large 6,660mAh silicon-carbon battery.
From an engineering standpoint, this is HONOR’s toughest foldable yet. The Magic V6 introduces a new Super Steel Hinge built from what the company describes as the strongest commercially available steel. It has been tested for up to 500,000 folds and unfolds in HONOR’s internal labs, reinforcing its durability credentials alongside its new IP ratings.
Despite the added toughness, the Magic V6 remains impressively slim and lightweight. It measures 8.75mm when folded; on par with a typical flagship slab phone and drops to just 4mm when unfolded. The white variant weighs 219 grams, keeping it competitive in the premium foldable segment.
The main display is a 7.95-inch LTPO 2.0 AMOLED panel with a 2,172 x 2,352 resolution and a 1–120Hz adaptive refresh rate. It features reinforced ultra-thin glass (UTG), a newly added anti-reflection layer, and a reported 44% reduction in crease depth compared to previous generations. Peak local brightness is rated at up to 5,000 nits.
On the outside, the 6.52-inch cover display also uses LTPO 2.0 technology with a 1–120Hz refresh rate, FHD+ resolution, and an even higher peak brightness of 6,000 nits. Both the inner and outer screens support stylus input and are fitted with 20MP selfie cameras.
Under the hood, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset is paired with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage, positioning the Magic V6 firmly in flagship territory.
Around the back, the Magic V6 carries a familiar but capable triple-camera system. The main sensor is a 50MP unit with an f/1.6 aperture and OIS. It is joined by a 64MP periscope telephoto camera with a 70mm equivalent focal length and 3x optical zoom, using a 1/2-inch sensor. Completing the setup is a 50MP ultrawide shooter.
On the software side, the Magic V6 runs MagicOS 10 based on Android 16. HONOR is pledging seven major Android upgrades, extending the device’s long-term software support. Cross-platform integration also gets an upgrade. HONOR Connect now enables two-way notification syncing between the Magic V6 and Apple devices, including iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. Mac users can share files seamlessly and even use the Magic V6’s main display as a secondary screen.
Powering the device is a 6,660mAh silicon-carbon battery with 25% silicon content and an energy density of 921Wh/L. The phone supports 80W wired charging, 66W wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging.
The HONOR Magic V6 will be offered in Red, Gold, White, and Black color options. Pricing and availability details have yet to be announced.
