Honor Magic5 Series price and full specs leaked ahead of 2023 launch

Are you a massive fan of the Honor Magic Series? Well, get your info fix here as we reveal its pricing and full specifications here!

According to unconfirmed information that leaked in September, the Honor Magic 5 series, which will include the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, is scheduled to debut between March and April 2023.

A Magic 5 series specification sheet has appeared on Weibo in advance of the launch. The details of the Magic 5, Magic 5 Pro, and Magic 5 Prestige Edition have been leaked.

Keep in mind that when the debut date for 2023 approaches, some details could change.

The source claims that a 6.8-inch OLED LPTO screen with a 1Hz–120Hz refresh rate, 2160Hz PWM dimming, 480Hz touch sampling rate, HDR10+, and up to 1100nits of brightness will be included in the Magic 5, Magic 5 Pro, and Magic 5 Prestige Edition.

The series will function on Android 13 OS with Magic UI 7.0.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, LPDDR5x RAM, and UFS 5.0 storage are all included in the Magic 5 trio. The Magic 5’s battery will have a 5,000mAh capacity and 66W of power, while the batteries in the other two models will have a 4,800mAh capacity and 50W each of wired and wireless power. The 40W UFCS charging standard will also be supported by the series.

The front camera on the Honor Magic 5 trio is a 13-megapixel Sony IMX688. The Magic 5’s rear camera system will include an OmniVision OV64B lens, a Sony IMX758 lens, and a Sony IMX800 main camera.

The Sony IMX878 with OIS capability, an OmniVision OV64B lens, and a Sony IMX516 camera will be the primary cameras of the Magic 5 Pro’s rear camera system.

The Sony IMX989 with OIS support will be the Prestige Edition’s primary camera, along with a Sony IMX758 lens, a Sony IMX516 sensor, and another Sony camera with OIS support. A ToF lens and a flicker sensor will be present on all three devices.

There will be a fingerprint scanner embedded in the display of all three gadgets. While the other models will offer 3D facial recognition, the Magic 5 will only enable 2D face unlock.

Additionally, the series will include 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, USB 3.1, dual speakers powered by Dolby, an X-axis linear motor, and USB 3.1 (finally!)

The Prestige Edition will have a nano-ceramic build, in contrast to the metal-glass hybrid chassis used by the Magic 5 and Magic 5 Pro.

The Magic 5 will have an IP54-rated chassis while the Pro and Prestige variants will have IP68 protection against water and dust.

According to the leak, the Honor Magic 5 will cost $696 or ₱40,697, $751 or ₱43,913, and $862 or ₱50,414; respectively, in its 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, and 12 GB RAM + 512 GB storage variants.

The same varieties of the Pro model are anticipated to be released at the same prices of $835 or ₱48,801, $891 or ₱52,292, and $1,000 or ₱58,465. Only one 12 GB RAM + 512 GB storage variant of the Honor Magic 5 Prestige Edition will be offered, and it will cost  $1,113 or ₱65,801.
