Magic8 Series’ Design and Specs

Both phones adopt a flat-edge design, polished frames, and the bold circular camera module that HONOR is leaning into as a design signature.

The Magic8 sports a 6.58-inch OLED display, while the Pro pushes to 6.71 inches. Battery capacity is also stepped up: the standard model carries around 7,000 mAh, and the Pro model features 7,200 mAh in China.

Charging speeds differ by model and market. In China, the Pro supports up to 120W wired charging, with 80W wireless. Outside China, expect more conservative figures due to regulatory limits.

The Pro model is the photography centerpiece. It includes a 200 MP periscope telephoto lens, a 50 MP main camera, and a 50 MP ultrawide module. Notably, the Pro’s main camera drops variable aperture in favor of a fixed f/1.6 lens.

HONOR also introduced a dedicated AI button on the side. In addition to launching their Yoyo AI assistant, the button doubles as a customizable shortcut (e.g. camera shutter or smarter tasks).

Under the hood, both models run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and pair with 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage in global versions.

HONOR is also calling this the beginning of its “Dual-Engine AI era,” where on-device AI and system optimizations work hand in hand.
