Honor has officially confirmed that the Magic9 series will launch in China on September 28, while also revealing the design and some of the lineup’s biggest camera features. Pre-orders are now open in China.

The number of models has not yet been confirmed, although leaks suggest the lineup could include the Honor Magic9, Magic9 Pro, and Magic9 Pro Max.
Dual 200MP cameras take center stage

Honor has confirmed a dual 200MP rear camera system, consisting of a 200MP 1/1.28-inch main sensor with an f/1.57 aperture and a 200MP 1/1.4-inch telephoto camera with an f/2.6 aperture.
The series will also support a new 500mm teleconverter kit, alongside Honor’s existing 200mm teleconverter.
A bold new camera design

The Magic9 series features a large rectangular camera module with three cutouts. The largest section houses the telephoto camera, LED flash, and ARRI branding, while two additional cameras sit in separate circular cutouts.
Honor has shown the phone in a new Moss Green colorway. Up front, it features a pill-shaped cutout for the selfie camera and a 3D ToF sensor. The Magic9 Pro and Pro Max are also rumored to be the first Android phones to feature a square selfie sensor.
Honor is also preparing to unveil MagicOS 11 next week, ahead of the Magic9 series launch.
With a redesigned camera module, dual 200MP cameras, and new teleconverter support, Honor’s next flagship series is clearly putting smartphone photography front and center.
