The HONOR Power3 was once rumored to push smartphone battery capacity to new heights, but the latest leak suggests the company may have scaled back its ambitions. Instead of packing an enormous 11,000mAh to 12,000mAh battery as previously reported, the upcoming device could arrive with a capacity much closer to its predecessor.
According to reliable tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the HONOR Power3 is now expected to feature a battery with at least 10,000mAh. That means it could either match or slightly exceed the 10,080mAh battery found in the current HONOR Power2, rather than making the significant jump suggested by earlier rumors.
The earlier report, which surfaced in May, claimed HONOR was testing battery capacities ranging from 11,000mAh to 12,000mAh, although the final figure had not yet been decided. The latest leak indicates those targets may have been too optimistic, at least for the final retail version.
Beyond the battery, the Power3 is also tipped to receive a larger display. The phone is rumored to feature a 7-inch flat screen, up from the 6.79-inch display on the HONOR Power2. While no display resolution or panel technology has been mentioned this time, the larger screen would make it one of HONOR’s biggest smartphones to date.
Under the hood, the device is expected to continue using a MediaTek Dimensity 8-series processor. The exact chipset remains unknown, but possibilities include the Dimensity 8500 Elite used in the Power2 or a newer chip, such as the rumored Dimensity 8600, if it becomes available before launch.
HONOR has yet to officially confirm the Power3 or reveal any of its specifications. If the company follows the same release schedule as the Power2, which debuted in January 2026, there’s still plenty of time for more leaks and details to surface before the next-generation model arrives.
As with all early leaks, these details should be treated with caution until HONOR officially announces the Power3’s specifications, launch date, and pricing.
