Honor is doubling down on battery life with the upcoming Honor WIN Turbo, and the numbers being teased ahead of launch are hard to ignore.
Set to launch in China on May 29, the Honor WIN Turbo is shaping up to be one of the most battery focused smartphones of the year, featuring a huge 10,000mAh battery while still keeping a relatively normal smartphone design and form factor.
Honor Teases Massive Battery Endurance
Honor has officially confirmed that the WIN Turbo packs a 10,000mAh battery, although some reports claim the rated capacity could actually land slightly higher at around 10,080mAh.
According to the company, the phone can deliver:
- More than 14 hours of continuous gaming
- Over 22 hours of short video playback
While brand provided battery estimates should always be taken with some caution, the WIN Turbo is still expected to comfortably outlast most smartphones currently on the market.
80W Fast Charging and Reverse Charging Included
Despite the massive battery size, charging speeds do not appear to take a hit.
The WIN Turbo supports:
- 80W wired fast charging
- 27W reverse wired charging
That reverse charging support also allows the device to function like a power bank for smaller gadgets and accessories.
Focused More on Battery Than Extreme Gaming Hardware
Unlike the higher end WIN and WIN RT models, the WIN Turbo reportedly skips the built in cooling fan system.
Instead, Honor appears to be positioning the phone as a battery first gaming device aimed at users who want long endurance for daily gaming, multitasking, and media consumption without stepping fully into flagship pricing territory.
The device is expected to run on MediaTek’s Dimensity 8500 Elite chipset, which should still offer solid gaming and everyday performance.
Leaked Specs Point to a Balanced Midrange Gaming Phone
Aside from the battery and chipset, leaked specifications for the WIN Turbo include:
- Flat 1.5K LTPS display
- Metal frame
- 50MP main rear camera with OIS
- Up to 16GB RAM
- Up to 512GB storage
Honor is also expected to launch the phone in:
- Black
- White
- Blue
Based on the Honor Power 2 Platform
Interestingly, the WIN Turbo is reportedly built on the same platform as the Honor Power 2.
The biggest difference is the removal of the active cooling hardware, which may help Honor reduce costs while also keeping the phone slimmer and lighter despite the oversized battery inside.
With most smartphones already capable of lasting a full day, Honor appears to be targeting users who simply want to stop worrying about charging altogether. If the pricing ends up being competitive, the WIN Turbo could easily become one of the most interesting battery focused phones launching this year.
