HONOR has officially confirmed the launch of its next X80 series smartphone, the HONOR X80 Pro Max, set for June 22 in China. And if the specs are anything to go by, this device is clearly not here to behave like a normal smartphone.
The company revealed that the HONOR X80 Pro Max will launch in four color options: Energetic Orange, Lightning Red, Moon Shadow White, and Mystic Black.
But the real headline is the battery. HONOR is packing the device with a massive 11,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, which the company claims is the largest ever used in a smartphone. Supporting it is 90W fast charging, along with 27W reverse wired charging, effectively turning the phone into a power source for other devices when needed.
Durability is also a key focus. The X80 Pro Max will feature gold-standard drop protection, and HONOR is including free screen replacement as part of its offering. The device is also confirmed to have a fully waterproof and drop-resistant build.
On the imaging side, HONOR has confirmed a 50MP rear camera.
Additional details shared by leaker DigitalChatStation suggest the phone will sport a 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED display (2788×1280 resolution). It is also expected to be among the first smartphones powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset.
With its combination of extreme battery capacity, durability features, and mid-to-upper-tier hardware, the HONOR X80 Pro Max is shaping up as a device built for endurance above all else.
