HUAWEI just added a new entry to its budget lineup with the Enjoy 80, and it’s clearly built with long battery life and storage in mind. While it doesn’t pack flashy flagship specs, it does hit the mark for users who want reliability on a budget—and a battery that goes the distance.
Let’s talk numbers. The Enjoy 80 features a hefty 6,620mAh battery paired with 40W wired charging, which should comfortably get you through two days of typical use. That’s a standout in this price range, especially when paired with a clean design and decent display.
Up front, there’s a 6.67-inch LCD panel with HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. Peak brightness hits 1,000 nits, which is pretty solid for an LCD. Surprisingly, it even supports Always-on Display, a feature usually reserved for OLED screens.
Rumored to be powering the phone is the Kirin 710A, a 14nm chipset that dates back to 2018. It’s not built for power users, but it should be fine for casual day-to-day tasks like messaging, light gaming, or streaming. The phone comes with 8GB of RAM and either 128GB or 512GB of storage, depending on the variant.
Camera-wise, it’s rocking a 50MP main sensor on the back and an 8MP selfie camera up front. Nothing groundbreaking here, but enough to get the job done for social media and casual shots.
A few nice touches? The Enjoy 80 runs HarmonyOS 4.0, includes an IP64 rating for water and dust resistance, and has a programmable side button called the “Enjoy X Key”, which lets you quickly launch apps or features.
It comes in four colors—Sky Blue, Sky White, Golden Black, and Field Green—and starts at just CNY 1,199 (~$165). The top-spec model with 512GB storage is priced at CNY 1,699 (~$233), with shipping in China starting April 26.
The HUAWEI Enjoy 80 isn’t here to win performance benchmarks, but if battery life, storage, and day-to-day functionality are high on your list, it might just be the budget phone to watch.
