Huawei nova Y61 announced: budget phone with 50MP camera and more

The nova Y61 is the newest member of Huawei’s affordable nova range, but is it worth the buy?

A 6.52-inch IPS LCD with HD+ resolution and a typical 60Hz refresh rate is included in the Huawei Nova Y61. The waterdrop notch cutout houses a 5MP selfie camera.

The Nova Y61 includes a depth sensor, a 2MP macro camera, and a 50MP primary camera with an F1.8 aperture. The phone has an unidentified octa-core CPU, 4 or 6 GB of RAM, and 64 GB of storage.

EMUI 12 handles the operating end, and the 5,000 mAh battery supports 22.5W rapid charging through USB-C. Unfortunately, the phone only supports LTE and the antiquated Wi-Fi 802.11n (Wi-Fi 4) networking standard, because of ban sanction.

Sapphire Blue, Mint Green, and Midnight Black are the available colors for the Huawei Nova Y61. Details regarding pricing and availability are pending.
