The HUAWEI tri-foldable phone has been spotted once again, this time in its folded form. CEO Yu Richard was previously seen using the device, offering glimpses of its expansive internal display. Reliable tipster Digital Chat Station suggests the phone will headline a major HUAWEI launch in September, alongside other products like the Nova 13 series and HUAWEI Watch GT 5.
Despite its innovative tri-fold design, the device maintains a surprisingly slim profile, measuring around 5mm unfolded and approximately 15mm when closed. Its circular camera module, reminiscent of the Mate 50 series, adds a sleek touch.
Previous leaks indicate a unique inward and outward folding mechanism with dual hinges. The roughly 10-inch display is expected to feature a centrally placed hole-punch camera. Powering the device is a Kirin 9 series chipset, positioning it as a flagship contender set to arrive before the Mate 70.
While specifics about the phone’s branding remain unclear, its September debut is generating significant buzz. HUAWEIs upcoming event promises to be a showcase of its technological prowess and design innovation.
