HUAWEI just launched the follow-up to its flagship Pura Series, now called the HUAWEI Pura 90s Series, along with the new MatePad Air and FreeClip 2 S. The event, aptly themed “Now Is Your Moment,” was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Here’s everything you need to know about today’s massive launch.
1. The Crown Jewels: Pura 90s Pro and Pura 90s Pro Max

Although it took a few months (almost 3 months, to be precise), HUAWEI just staged the global release of its widely anticipated flagship camera phone, the Pura 90s Series. Unlike last year’s Pura 80 Series, which had three models: the standard Pura 80, Pura 80 Pro, and the top-of-the-line Pura 80 Ultra, this year’s Pura 90s Series only has two: the Pura 90s Pro and the Pura 90s Pro Max.

There’s no telling if we’re getting the rest of the bunch, but it looks like HUAWEI is pooling all its resources to make the two models a global hit.
As is expected from a Pura phone, the Pura 90s Pro and Pura 90s Pro Max’s claim to fame is their massive cameras, but before we get into that, let’s first take a look at the specs:
| Feature | HUAWEI Pura 90s Pro | HUAWEI Pura 90s Pro Max |

Meanwhile, the HUAWEI Pura 90s Pro Max features a 50 MP main sensor with a 10-stop variable aperture, a 200 MP Macro Telephoto Camera with OIS, a 40 MP ultrawide, and a 13 MP front-facing camera.

The HUAWEI Pura 90s Pro comes in 4 colors: Mulberry Black, Coconut White, Orange Soda, and Guava Soda.

Take note that these are only the global prices. We have yet to know the price once it gets released locally here in the Philippines.
2. HUAWEI MatePad Air
As the name suggests, the HUAWEI MatePad Air embraces a new lightweight and slim form factor built for professionals on the go. It features a 12-inch PaperMatte OLED display with a resolution of 2800 x 1840 pixels. Under the hood is the Kirin T93C chipset coupled with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
Although cameras are the least of your concerns in a tablet, the HUAWEI MatePad Air still boasts a 50 MP rear camera and a 12 MP sensor at the front, more than enough for your video calls. The whole package is powered by a 10,100 mAh battery with 66W charging, and that’s with a 5.3 mm build and a weight of 509 g.

What’s even more impressive is that even with such a thin and light build, the new MatePad Air still features a 6-speaker system with HUAWEI SOUND. There are three colors to choose from: Sakura Pink, Airy Blue, and White.
The 2026 HUAWEI MatePad Air retails for €849 or around ₱59,698 for the non-PaperMatte variant with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. While the 12/256GB one retails for €999 or around ₱70,246. Both of which come standard with HUAWEI’s Glide Keyboard.

3. HUAWEI FreeClip 2 S
And last but certainly not least, HUAWEI’s mid-refresh update to its open-ear TWS earphones, the FreeClip 2 S. What’s new for this year’s FreeClip 2 S is the updated audio chip with an NPU to help with the processing of the Adaptive Volume algorithm.
What this allows the FreeClip 2 S to do is adjust the volume automatically without reaching for your phone. That’s to make up for the lack of passive noise isolation because of its open-ear design. It’s available in two colors: Deepsea Blue and Space Silver. And if you want to spice up your very own HUAWEI FreeClip 2 S, you can do so using the clip-on accessories designed by the French jewelry house, Les Néréides.

The HUAWEI FreeClip 2 S goes for £199 or around ₱16,425.
