Calendar and weather widgets received big changes, which also unveiled the overall aesthetic of HyperOS 2.0.
Fresh leaks of HyperOS 2.0 showed the redesigned calendar and weather widgets. The leaks also included revamp animations for these widgets.
In HyperOS 2.0, the weather widget is more minimalist and elegant compared to the 1.0 version. It’s livelier and faster at providing the necessary weather details, including extended hourly updates and longer forecast ranges without going to the app itself.
The animation and visual upgrades are applied on weather details like temperature, current conditions, and daily forecasts. Users can enjoy these improvements right on the home screen.
For the calendar widget, upcoming events are viewable at a glance while tasks, meetings, and other occasions are smartly suggested. The Calendar app is now fully integrated with other Xiaomi apps for a streamlined experience.
The widget is fully customizable in terms of size, appearance, and flexibility. For example, you can have a landscape widget with the monthly view and an analog clock.
The widgets’ design is in sync with the overall aesthetic of HyperOS 2.0. So, the leaked images have hinted what visuals you can expect from this major software version.
In other news, HyperOS 2.0 internal builds have been spotted recently, which also revealed the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro with respective OS2.0.1.5.VOCCNXM and OS2.0.1.2.VOBCNXM firmware builds.
Sadly, those who like to tinker with Xiaomi devices will soon lose the ability to unlock the bootloader.
