Who would have thought it was possible to get a 43-inch TV with HDR for just Php 10,995? Well, iFFACON made it possible with this new TV from the S52 Series.
iFFALCON 43-inch TV Full Review is our first TV review this year and might already be the winner. Its interface is faster than most other premium TVs with a high price point and comes with the Latest Android System.
Most importantly, it has a Full HDR, which enhances the contrast and brightness of the images and leads to more vivid and lifelike colors and deeper blacks. This can provide a more immersive and engaging viewing experience, especially for videos filmed in HDR.
- Full HD Android TV
- Latest Android System
- Built-in Chromecast
- Dolby Audio
- Google Play & Movies
- HDR 10
- Micro Dimming
Under the styrofoam, we’ve got the TV, a remote controller with batteries, the TV stand, and even the wall brackets. How genius! They also included an operational manual, an energy label, a 2-year warranty, and an AV IN adapter.
At the back, the TV has a relatively thin width, not the most delicate we have seen but definitely thinner than many other TVs on the market. The back cover is also more on the curvy side rather than boxy or geometric, which is unique and aesthetic. No one spends time watching the back of the TV anyway.
The bottom part is quite bulky. It is the residence for the in-built massive sound system that we will talk about later. The display is bordered by reasonably thin bezels on the front, probably around 1cm. The power button is located at the bottom, and there are also screw holes at the back for wall mounting. On the left side, we have USB 2.0 port, a LAN port, an Antenna Port, a Digital Audio Out, 2 HDMI Ports (Service +ARC), an AV IN port, and an audio jack.
The design of the remote controller is sleek, also following the smooth and curvy design theme like that on the TV. The keys are soft and clicky; overall, the remote controller feels great in the hands.
Above all, it comes with various hotkeys like Google Assistant, Netflix, Prime Video, Youtube, TCL channel, and more. These buttons allow users to quickly access certain features. Unfortunately, it does not support Disney Plus, but at this price point, that should be understandable.
High Dynamic Range (HDR 10)
As you already know, this is the best part of this TV, as it should be. The HDR 10 Display panel on this TV is the primary key. When we powered it up for the first time, it was on low power mode, so the brightness was not impressive. However, when we changed the settings to Smart HDR, boy, oh boy! This thing is bright.
The HDR 10 is one of several HDR technologies currently available, including Dolby Vision, HDR 10+, and HLG. Because of that, all the videos we played had a higher range of brightness and colors. The excellent contrast also allowed more detailed visibility between dark and light areas and more accurate and vibrant colors. So you will notice more details when you watch shows with long night scenes like Game of Thrones – The long night. There is also a more comprehensive range of viewing angles with this display.
The company was not joking around when it said, “Experience Falcon-Like vision” The Smart HDR significantly improved the quality of the images displayed on the screen. It enhanced the contrast and brightness of the pictures and showed a more extensive range of colors.
You might be asking yourself what micro-dimming is. It is a feature that analyzes the incoming video signal and adjusts the brightness and contrast of specific screen areas in real time, depending on the displayed content. Think of it as the True Tone of TVs.
The sound on this iFFALCON is mind-blowing. It is extremely loud, so you can still do without an external speaker or a soundbar. It comes with Dolby Audio, designed to enhance the sound quality of the TV, providing more accurate and immersive audio. Let’s just say it brings movies, TV shows, and other content to life. It also has an audio jack and Bluetooth if you want to connect a speaker, be it Bluetooth or wired.
Softwares User Experience
The iFFALCON TV comes with Latest Android System, which gives you access to over 7000 Apps and over 70,000 shows and movies. All of this is accessible in one place through Google Playstore. We didn’t find the processor information of this TV, but it is relatively fast.
Browsing through the interface was so fast, way faster than we expected. Fast-forwarding an episode almost loaded immediately. Even though this also depends on the internet speed, the responsiveness of the TV actually plays a significant role too.
Most TVs require you to buy a Chromecast separately to enjoy any apps or services from Google. On the iFFALCON, the Chromecast is already included. We efficiently managed to cast different apps from the phone to the TV. Additionally, there is also Google.
